NORTHWEST MISSOURI AREA AGENCY ON AGING
Availability: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Cost: Voluntary Contribution
Services: For age 60+ can provide transportation to doctors and shopping through OATS, Provide A Ride volunteer transportation, medical only, client reimbursed transportation, no family driver.
Who Can Ride: Must be 60 years + no income guidelines, Residency required in counties listed below, can refer to other agencies if outside district.
Description of Services and Other Information:
Nutrition Services congregate meals served at Senior Centers at least 5 days weekly and home delivered meals
In-Home Services help seniors remain in home through respite and homemaker/chore services.
Legal Services: free resolution of non-criminal legal matters and protection of legal rights
Long Term Care Ombudsman Program- Advocates on behalf of nursing home, residential care residents,
and many other programs available including health screenings, outreach, silver haired legislature, public education and information.
Enhanced information and assistance which assists seniors and caregivers with one on one service.
Counties Served: Sullivan, Putnam, Linn and Mercer, plus several other counties in northwest Missouri
