SADI SHUTTLE SERVICE, SEMO ALLIANCE FOR DISABILITY INDEPENDENCE
Service Area: Sadi Shuttle Service provides transportation within the city limits of Cape Girardeau, city of Scott City, Jackson, Fruitland and Gordonville daily. The fee schedule depends on origination of trip and destination. The Shuttle will run in the Chaffee area on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00am to 5:00pm. Rides within the city limits of Chaffee are $4.00 for one way trip. Rides from Chaffee to Cape or Scott City are $8.00 per one way trip, and rides to Jackson (Fruitland area) are $10 per one way trip. Please contact SADI to ask if you live within our Shuttle service area.

Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Who Can Ride:
Any person with a disability residing within the city limits of Cape Girardeau, Chaffee, Jackson, and Scott City needing transportation services may become a registered rider of the SADI Shuttle Program.
Rider must be a person with a disability and rider must provide proof of disability.
Riders with Dementia or Alzheimer’s must be accompanied by an attendant (exceptions granted by the Director of Independent Living and Program Development).
Service is door-to-door. Riders must be able to maneuver past the main entrance door without the assistance from the SADI driver. An attendant may accompany rider at no additional charge. Consumers with medical concerns that require personal attendant services must have an attendant accompany them at all times (Attendant rides free of charge). Adults must accompany minor children & have appropriate car seats–as required by law.
All riders must register at the SADI center prior to initially accessing Shuttle Service. If accommodation is needed, please contact the SADI office at 573-339-9025.
Upon completion of registration, a Ten Punch Card may be purchased from the SADI driver or at the SADI office for $20.00 per card. Shuttle rides within the city limits of Cape and Scott City are $4.00 per one way trip. Rides from Jackson to Cape are only $6.00 per one way trip.
All pre-scheduled rides for employment will take precedence over on-demand calls. When a consumer has a standing weekly/monthly appointment that is not employment-related, the standing appointment may be tentatively scheduled, but is subject to change.
Wheelchair Accessible: All consumers in wheelchairs must be appropriately restrained with lock down systems.
THE SHUTTLE WILL NOT RUN ON THE FOLLOWING HOLIDAYS: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
During inclement weather, the Executive Director will make the decision as to whether or not the vehicle will run. Road conditions, immediate weather changes, and weather forecasts will be assessed each day. Rule of thumb for use of the vehicle will be, when local school is canceled due to weather the vehicle will not be running.
Other Services: Wednesday Morning Shuttle Service – On Wednesday morning the shuttle runs in the designated areas of Spring Street, West End Blvd. and Linden. If you live in these areas you may access the shuttle without scheduling a ride. The Wednesday morning shopping shuttle runs are from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and your card will only be punched one time for the round trip.
