SAINT LUKE’S NORTH HOSPITAL – SMITHVILLE CARE VAN
Service: The Saint Luke’s North Hospital Care Van program is a free community service for patients who have no other transportation or who cannot operate a vehicle. The Care Van program is sponsored by the Saint Luke’s North Hospital Auxiliary and Saint Luke’s North Hospital.
- Weekdays: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Sunday: not in service
Who Can Ride: The program serves patients in Clay, Clinton, Platte, and Leavenworth counties and provides transportation from patients’ residences or nursing home facilities to the Barry Road and Smithville campuses for outpatient services, physician appointments, or lab services. The vans are also used for inpatients who have off-campus medical appointments, transfers to and from other hospitals, and for patients being discharged from either campus.
